As publishers of the Town Flyer, Makuta and Associates have a long history and track record in the graphic arts industry with more than 35 years of experience. As co-authors of one of the first nationally distributed books on desktop publishing, "The Complete Desktop Publisher" was co-written by Dan Makuta for American Broadcasting Company's Compute Publications Division.

Kathryn N. Makuta is the president and Chief Financial Officer of Makuta and Associates. As editor and general manager of The Town Flyer she functions as editor-and-chief with responsibillities that cover display advertising sales, reporting and editorial content. Daniel J. Makuta is the vice president and publisher. As the publisher of the Town Flyer with responsibilities that include photography, production, layout and design. Dan was one of the co-authors of the Lithographer's Manual and has written hundreds of technical articles published by organizations such as the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, the Printing Industry of America, National Association of Quick Printers, Editor and Publisher, Southern Advertising Publishers Association, Free Paper Publisher and Publishers Auxiliary Magazines.
They have produced and presented hundreds of seminars and workshops on electronic prepress, color, color separation, preflighting and prepress workflow for organizations like Xerox, Apple, Adobe, Linotype-Hell, Agfa, GATF, PIA, NAQP, Ringier America and Pantone. They have owned and published other newspapers such as the Shopper's Review and the Town and Country Times.
Daniel Angeloni, Contributing Editor, is a dynamic member of the Town Flyer staff Dan is contributing editor and photographer. Dan, pictured here with his partner, side-kick and grandson Anthony, is a loyal resident who calls West Deer Township his "beloved long-time hometown." Dan is considered the townships keeper of the archives, as well as the caregiver of its pulse. He has a vast inventory of local photographs, many of which he professional and personally created. In addition, his storehouse of knowledge concerning the region is often called upon for reference and research.
Dan has a long history of journalistic endeavors, having served as writer, photographer, and editor of numerous publications. He is affectionately remembered by the many hundreds of students he mentored during his 37 years as a teacher and guidance counselor at the West Deer and Deer Lakes school districts.
Dan credits a hometown newspaper as being invaluable for helping to create a foundation of solidarity and progress for a treasured community such as West Deer and its environs. He welcomes the suggestions of local residents for suggestions of feature stories or human interest photographs.
